About Me
After high school, I trained and worked as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. I became fascinated with the human body and anatomy. Many years later in 2025 I had the honor to do human dissection with Gil Hedley. The experience gave me true insight into the human form. What a gift to do this with reverence and deepest gratitude.
I trained with One Tree Yoga, Omaha and Prajna Yoga, Santa Fe, NM for my 300 and 500 hour yoga certifications. I continued with Prajna Yoga for my Yoga Therapy Certification. I use Tias Little’s SATYA (Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga Attumentment) as a teaching style. The movements start small and subtle. Moving this way helps balance the nervous system.
I also use SATYA for Yoga and Somatic Therapy. It is a way to feel your body stretch and contract with the breath. You move slowly, which is often not our pattern. By practicing movements that feel unfamiliar we can change patterns and habits.
I graduated from the 3 year Somatic Experiencing International program in May 2026. Somatic Experiencing is a body-orientated approach to heal trauma and other stress related struggles. It was created by Peter A Levine, PhD. “ You don’t have to know the facts of your story to be able to reprogram the symptoms or the outcome.” Peter A Levine, PhD
The body based approach of Somatic Experiencing and the movement patterns of SATYA work amazingly well to balance the nervous system.
I presently live on an acreage in Fort Calhoun, NE. It’s a beautiful place where I can garden, tend chickens and enjoy the birds . Inside, I always have projects in the works.
My husband of 45 years and I have raised 4 children. Our 2 youngest, adopted from Romania are adults now! I’m excited to start on the career path to treat people with mental health struggles.
